Internship Data Protection Analyst

Who will be your new colleagues

You will be joining Group Legal Digital & Privacy Office (GLDPO) that operates in and from the holding. The team consists of five members and has dynamic capabilities focussing on data, privacy and legal aspects of data protection. The team is not only responsible for privacy compliance within Corporate Center, moreover, the team works closely with other business units and departments outside The Netherlands to achieve harmonious privacy compliance for Aegon Group as a whole.

The job in a nutshell

Data is in the heart of our business and at the company’s operation. We are looking for a motivated student with interest in data privacy, data protection and information technology trends. As a Data Protection Analyst intern you will contribute to the GLDPO team’s effort in multiple areas from General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) point of view, including:

• Privacy by design and process optimization (through legal tech design);

• Building a bridge between legal requirements and business needs;

• Consulting with (global) stakeholders in different departments;

• Supporting in (global) regulatory developments;

• Supporting in data inventory and business document repository management;

• Supporting in creating privacy awareness.

This is your future internship, because you

• 3^rd or 4^th year HBO or WO student in Law, Business Administration, Computer Science or IT/Technology;

• Marked interest in data privacy, privacy laws and regulations;

• High level of consulting and communication skills;

• Problem-solving attitude and analytical skills;

• Eager to learn, takes initiative and asks questions;

• Comfortable in international environment with different cultures;

• Fluency in English, with excellent verbal and written communication skills;

• Academic, volunteering or previous internship experiences in the privacy or related topics are a plus

• Available for 5 to 6 months for at least 4-5 days a week;

• Start as soon as possible and latest February 2021.

Important note:
It is required to be enrolled at a university to take part in this internship. Next to that you will need a Dutch BSN-number and Dutch bank account. If you are a non-EU/EER student, you will need a valid residence permit stating that you may work ('arbeid vrij toegestaan'). Applications that do not fulfill this criteria cannot be taken into consideration.
